People’s Climate March 2017
On April 29th, 2017, the 100th day of Trump’s presidency, NIRS and the Nuclear-Free, Carbon-Free Contingent joined the People’s Climate March in Washington, DC. We, along with over 200,000 other people, demanded a 100% renewable, nuclear-free, carbon-free world and immediate action from the US government and all of the governments of the world.
The march was a beautifully inspiring moment that reminded us all that movement-building and united resistance have always been and will continue to be the most powerful force for justice and the environment to defend our global communities.
